Air India has plans to operate extra flights to Port Blair from Chennai to meet the steeping passenger traffic requirement during the vacation season of May and June 2009.

Air India will be operating additional flights to Port Blair from Chennai to meet the increased passenger traffic demand during the holiday season May-June 2009.

For Chennai-Port Blair-Chennai, 14 additional flights will run between May 15-June 29, 2009, which means a capacity of 2,030 seats (one way). The additional flight IC-1549/1550 will operate on Mondays and Fridays leaving Chennai at 07:30am and reaching Port Blair at 09:35 am; departing Port Blair at 10:15 and reaching Chennai at 12:20pm.
