Delta Air Lines completes Wi-Fi Installation on Half Domestic Fleet Jul 03

Delta Airlines has created a new record as far as customer satisfaction is concerned. It is the airlines carrier with maximum number of WI-FI equipped airlines.

No other airline in the world has more Wi-Fi equipped airplanes. It has installed WI-FI on nearly half or 50 percent of its domestic mainline flee. Of more than 300 airplanes Delta services on U.S. routes, 139 have Gogo Inflight Internet, including MD-88 fleet. The MD-90 fleet will have Inflight Internet complete by May end and the remaining domestic flight will have WI-FI setup done by September.

Delta Airlines is all for onboard technology that can add value for the customer, in various forms like seat-back Sat-TV, on-demand movies and the WI-FI. Passengers who fly mainline flights within the continental US are assured WI-FI facility.

Apart from the MD-88s, Wi-Fi is now available on select 757-200s and MD-90s. The price for Wi-Fi access on a single Delta flight varies between $7.95-$12.95. On the ground, Delta has extended free Wi-Fi access to include all visitors to Delta Sky Club lounges within the US.
