Mumbai, The Vibrant City Apr 25

Though known as the financial capital of India, Mumbai is equally famous as a tourist destination. Mumbai tourist attractions attract people from all corners of the country. To some extent, they contribute to the cosmopolitan image of the country. The best examples of this cosmopolitan culture can be found in the southern part of the city.

Mumbai tourist attractions include heritage structures like the Gateway of India, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus building and Haji Ali. There are other areas that are considered a `must-visit’ whenever you make a catalogue of Mumbai tourist attractions. These include Colaba Causeway, Flora Fountain or Hutatma Chowk, Hanging Garden, Town Hall or Asiatic Society Library and the buildings surrounding Horniman Circle Garden. They are true representatives of the colonial architecture of the Raj era.

There are some beautiful beaches close to the city and can be included among Mumbai tourist attractions. These include the beaches at Alibaug, a 45-minute ferry ride from the Gateway of India monument. You can find people flocking to the area on weekends. Another major attraction is the Elephanta Caves, also a 45-minute ferry ride from the Gateway of India.

Being the financial capital of one of the biggest economies in the world, there’s a lot of money floating around here. The nightlife in Mumbai is one of the most exciting in the country. There are also a lot of bars and cafes, including Leopold and Mondegar, which find mention in many literary masterpieces set in Mumbai.

Mumbai tourist attractions are many and very exciting. They make a visit to the city a great one!
